Review on VEMONT 7-Port USB Hub 3.0 with Individual On/Off Switches, LED Light, and 4ft/1.2m Long Cable - USB Splitter Extension for Laptop and PC Computer by Julian Perkins

It seems to be working. I've had it for about a year now and am already looking for an upgrade. The main problem I have with this device is that if I plug additional devices into it and then turn them on, everything immediately turns off and then turns on again. It's not always a problem, but a problem enough that I've stopped using it for anything that bothers me with power surges. I bought this to use with my laptop which only has 3 usb ports and as I use an external keyboard and mouse I needed an extra box to be able to connect my phone and an external hard drive so this is the solution doesn't work for me. When searching for a replacement, only a mouse and keyboard are currently connected. I originally gave this unit 4 stars because the blue LEDs that tell you the switch is on are BRIGHT and very annoying. Also, some of the switches were incredibly hard to press right out of the box and would turn the particular item on, off, on, off before finally clicking into place, so I don't use them to effectively make it a 7 port 5 port case, anyway. The corresponding switches just don't click all the way down unless they're ONLY pressed at the right angle, ONLY in the right place. That's why I don't use it. I put a piece of tape on it to remind myself. I didn't realize it was a problem with the device and not just me until after the return period was over.
