Fit your waist perfectly in non-elastic jeans

I'm blessed with (?) hips and a bigger butt, so most jeans, especially the ones that didn't stretch, didn't last for years. When traditional (non-stretch) denim came back in style, I had a hard time bucking the trend without paying extra for a tailor to fit my waist.
