Aura Pro is a document scanner for the home or office. Easier to use and faster than flatbed scanners and takes up much less space than a traditional scanner on a desk or in storage as it is a slim 17.5"/44cm x 5"/13cm stand. The backlit camera arm extends it up to 15 inches / 38 cm wide. The scanner arm glides smoothly up and down, retracting into a protective main stand that has room for a carrying handle at the top. Top and side lights are built into this rack. Beautiful and elegant, it looks spectacular on the table. Retract the camera arm when not scanning to prevent tipping. It's sturdy and reliable, but kids, pets, or a careless elbow can knock it over. Comes in a nice reusable box. When the device is not in use, I recommend leaving it in the box. Fierce kittens run around my table - maybe your house is quieter. Hardware sets up in seconds and includes a foot pedal, finger grips to hold the edges of the book, power cord, USB port. The battery is available for the Aura Pro and will come in handy in places (like the archives, cemetery office or Great Aunt Lucy's attic) where there is no network connection. It also works with computer power. The battery lasts 100 minutes. The CZUR scanner comes with a software CD or downloadable software. My antivirus software was initially conflicting with Aura, but adjusting it fixed it. The user guide comes with the device, but I recommend watching all the videos available on the Czur website and in the software itself. At the beginning, keep them open until you become familiar with its many functions. If you encounter difficulties, contact the company for help. It's not too bad to learn, and before you know it, you'll be ready to go. Aura Pro is also a dimmable lamp with multiple settings that can be controlled via your smartphone with a downloadable app, a great light for reading or working - get rid of that clunky old lamp. A godsend for busy people, from records managers to busy moms to genealogists, Aura Pro has hundreds of uses. I've even scanned objects with it and adjusted the lighting and settings to get sharp and detailed images. Documents of any kind are quickly scanned, loaded and printed. You can choose the settings in the pre-scan phase or edit them later. Crop, rotate, contrast... so many ways to adjust your images for the best quality. For example, you can scan in color or convert to color during the processing phase if the bulldog does not like grayscale or black and white. Even blurry copies of copies of copies can be adjusted to be legible. Just start scanning and play with it to unlock the potential of this machine. Every part of the process is quick and easy enough that you can easily scan multiple times until the desired effect is achieved. With practice (be patient with yourself and the device first) the user can intuitively see which settings work best without having to fiddle around or rescan. A special feature is the ability to scan books quickly and easily. Even tightly bound albums can be scanned without tearing them, as Aura Pro automatically converts curved or tightly bound surfaces into an image just as well as if you scanned them flat. It features side and top lights to get the best picture. When working with lights, you can record almost anything. Use your hands to flatten the book and hold the pages with comfortable finger tabs while toe scanning with a single touch of the pedal - a touch of genius! One-Touch scans both sides of the book, resulting in two images that don't need to be separated. The volume doesn't allow to describe all of its scanning, editing, and organization tools, but they are fast and efficient, and get the paperwork done quickly. For the money this is an amazing device. I rent out my old tablet. You don't have to pay a company or copy service to store your documents - Aura Pro does it.
