They arrived in packages with "spoons" stacked on top of each other. As shown in the photo, a cardboard packaging has been glued to the rubberized cover. OK, it's hard to clean and needs work and cleaning anyway. Good things: good size, fits in the palm of your hand, good rubber case, US markings and metrics, like yellow colors on the band and front. Housing. Not so good things: The first one didn't lock, a trait I find really important. The second does not block, but the tape is slowly pulled back (resistance but no blockage). I haven't tried the third yet. Has not been used much, #2 appears to have crumpled tape and ink line markings are fading. I'm not a builder or an experienced user, but I only take measurements from time to time to hang photos. Certainly nothing like my previous Stanley. I was looking for additions for the kitchen, garage and other areas of the house. All in all not a very good product for the price. I would look at other products.
