I bought it to bring back some of the autonomy and "artistic" choices that exist, as opposed to a lot of point-and-shoot where you get what the camera gives you. The UZ has powerful zoom combined with high resolution without having to repack a suitcase full of extra lenses and the like. It has many features and options so I can "participate” in the imaging process for as long as I want. In fact, this camera has features that I will most likely never use. In the short time I've used the 565, I've found that it takes great pictures, limited only by the fact that the subject is pressing the button. It's a size and shape that naturally fits my grip. I look forward to learning more about the camera as I use the setting options in other situations. It gives you many options in a very small, easily portable package, with enough information for each option on the screen so you don't have to memorize the manual. Convenient layout of the controls, which is also suitable for large fingers. Thank you Olympus
