Not sure about other MB vehicles but my C300 chassis is clad in plastic panels. This means that it is not possible to lift the frame bars without damaging the fenders. These adapters allow you to safely jack your Mercedes-Benz with any jack you want, so you don't have to wear out the factory jack (which is really only meant as a last resort).
