Hard water deposits will cause these valves to bind and not move freely. This is the replacement valve you need, not cheap $10 clones. The difference is that the internal shutter of the clones is plastic while the original is metal. Installation Tip: Before removing the valve, unscrew the metal tube and lock nut, then SAVE the handle/screw to make valve removal easier. It takes a few pulls to pull out the old valve - don't be afraid, you can handle it. The new valve will be pre-lubricated, so put it in there.
