A good headlight does two things: makes you more visible to other vehicles and lights up the road ahead. This light is so good for both of them. I installed it on my '08 HD Sportster XL1200. I haven't had drivers go the other way with their headlights on me, but I kind of expect it. The light is clear, white and has a large span. I love how it reflects off highway roadside reflective signs, making it easier to read from a much greater distance. The street is much better lit. I haven't had a chance to directly compare it to the $399 HD Daymaker, but I really can't imagine it being 10x better. Given the price of this flashlight I think you can't go wrong. Yes, and installation is truly plug-and-play - at least on the Sporty. 10 minutes maximum
