Variable intensity light switch in my hood "clicked" and didn't work more, two lugs on the shaft that sit above the switch housing On the factory switch, these lugs are flush with the switch housing This difference prevents the switch from sitting flush in the threaded shaft of the hood with a thin threaded locking ring having its own threads on the shaft as installed. This thicker ring is now on display and looks like jury rigging next to a nearby (and similar) fan switch. The seller told me if I want a genuine replacement I need to order 152 of these switches I am very unhappy and don't know what to do next.
