We have been using this night light for our children for many years and need replacing. This one works as intended, just like the others. We replaced another one because it started making a loud grinding noise while spinning. I was disappointed that this one started doing it even after a few days. Also disappointed was the inability to turn on the lights. The maximum time it can stay on is 5 hours. The kids use it as a night light when they wake up to go to the toilet at night and now when they wake up there is no light so they wake us up too. So our options are to buy a separate night light or just go back to our old lamp as it makes the same noise. It's a bummer because I love the sleek look of it and I love having a remote control because we keep the lamp high up on the shelf.
