Review on Tommy Bahama Aloha Pineapple Quilt by Mazie Laporte

Sub-Level Quilting - Quilts & Quilts

The Tommy Bahama Aloha Pineapple Quilt is attractive and suitable for warm climates. Actual stitching is not authentic, large stitches, rough design but acceptable at this price point. My duvet has a large, hard ball of thread/fabric in the top center. This is very noticeable and definitely a bug. There is also a small dark area, possibly something dark on the bottom or lining of the duvet and also in the middle of the top. Also, there is a small orange-rusty stain on the top (can't figure out what it is). The duvet appears to be new, so I'm not sure where these flaws come from. Of course, the seam lump occurred during manufacturing. I love Tommy Bahama products and have many of them including clothing and other items so I am disappointed in the quality of this item. If I can get a replacement that is flawless I will keep it as it still fits the theme of the Hawaiian quilts I need for this bedroom. Of course, handmade quilts are very expensive if you can find them, so this product will come in handy when the quality improves in my replacement order.
