Review on Nikon D5100 Digital SLR Camera with 18-55mm VR Lens - High Resolution 16.2MP by Amphaiphit Jongkol ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I was surprised by the quality for this price.

An excellent choice for a beginner, those who need decent quality for little money, or those who are experienced in photography, but do not have the funds for D3x :). I took it from my hands for 15 thank God, I didn’t notice any jambs during use, despite the tough attitude towards it (I shot it in light rain, in the wild snowfall on 11202222, I don’t pay attention to dust, heat and frost) , although it is not waterproof and not made of magnesium alloy. The quality of photos from the Nikon p500, which was bought a couple of months before the d5100, does not even come close to the quality of the latter (but a 36x zoom on the d5100 will cost like a small car :)). Those who doubt whether the shots will be better than in an expensive soap dish - do not hesitate. The quality has grown staggeringly even in auto mode with a whale. When using fast lenses and fine-tuning the parameters, the pictures will be comparable to professional ones. For the first time, Keith is more than enough. You may be itching to buy a prime (I have one), like 35 or 50mm for portraits and landscapes, or you may want to take a telephoto lens for sports, strikes and squirrels (I looked at Nikkor 55-300mm) or a wide-angle zoom for architecture and landscapes (I'm thinking about sigma or tamron - nikkors are wildly expensive), but with a whale you can take 95% of the necessary photographic material (for amateurs). The fix price is 5 thousand, the TV set is 9, and the width is 15-18. So far, it’s not even the price that stops you from buying, but the need to change all this stuff and carry everything with you. Therefore, I remain with the whale for now. For whale haters (amateur haters, professionals cannot shoot at 18-55, of course), I can advise you to look at photos of professionals on smartphones and soap dishes. For example, Lee Morris on an iPhone 3Gies (a terrible camera there), took such pictures that I still can't handle with my SLR. So, this camera will be enough for any amateur for a long time. The main thing is not to stop at auto mode and try to improve. All good pictures, thank you for your attention!)

Pros
  • 1) Excellent photo quality. Sounds stupid, but it's true. 2) A decent matrix from the older model. 3) Durable. I carry it with me in a rag bag, it beats against things, against another camera, against my side - all for nothing (pah-pah-pah). 4) A simple menu, with a very wide functionality. 5) Holds fairly high ISOs with no problems. 6) Good lens included. Whoever says anything, but with a whale 18-55 you can take a decent shot. And there are thousands of examples of this - look on the Internet. It's amazing how such a cheap lens gives such a decent picture. 7) Convenient swivel screen. The screen itself is of decent quality and of sufficient size. 8) Sufficiently high shooting speed.
Cons
  • There are no special claims to the camera, claims to the photographer. Of course, I would like moisture resistance, a full frame, a second screen, two flash drives and a screwdriver in the carcass, but that's another money. The problem with the 5100 for me is that I don't see any cropped camera that would be noticeably better. The only way to drastically improve the quality of a photo is to take a full-size matrix (or medium format :)). The remaining improvements will be "given" by optics and straight arms.

Some pros: 1. The price-quality ratio is excellent; 2. The quality of the device is excellent; 3. The picture is great! Has some cons I face only one drawback - efficiency. But, given that you have to pay for everything, this is not a problem.
