Review on Timken SP550310 Axle Bearing Assembly by Dmitriy Kingsley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Replaced left and right front hubs no problem

Didn't want to pay the OEM price at my local Chevy dealer, over $300. In my past experience, Timken has always been a quality brand, so I decided to give it a try. The fit and finish of the part looked very good, the ABS sensor cable had exactly the same brackets. The work went very well, the hardest part was tying the ABS sensor cable to the old hitch, it is located behind the upper shock absorber (on the driver's side) and is only accessible between the inner wheel arch and the frame member. I swapped left and right. Front hubs at the same time - I figured if one starts making noise the other side can't be far behind. After less than a hundred miles there were no issues and the front end was much quieter. Once I've racked up a few thousand miles on the van I'll update this review. This is the same review I posted for the Timken SP550309 part. They now have over 3,000 miles in the new centers, including 1,500 miles for families. No problem to report, the bearings are quiet.
