Unfortunately I cannot recommend this fan due to the safety concerns associated with fan cover latches. The assembly is quite easy. until you get to the rubber fastener that is there to hold the fan shrouds/grilles together. You have to align the edges very carefully and then tighten the screw in the clasp to hold it together. In my opinion, even when securely fastened, this is an unsafe construction. I would not recommend using this around children or pets. At the same time, the fan works well with a battery. It's fairly quiet and blows air about 5-7 feet. It's good for a small room or office. Again, I can't overlook the build quality and shutter design, so I'd suggest looking elsewhere for a rechargeable fan.
