This product is beyond amazing and should be the #1 locally famous Yamasi Mango Lime product. Yes! So! I said right! This product is better than Jamacian Mango and Lime. My problem with products: My problem with products is the buildup they leave on my hair. My hair is (obviously) locked in, so when debris hits a lock, it just stays there. Late bleaching and curl weakening and eventual breaking because the curl detox can only go so far (which hopefully this brand will do too soon). Another issue I have with products is their ability to hold and not let go of newly curled hair, making my curls feel heavy or overly greasy which then leaves odd marks on my clothes, pillow or scarf. Product arrived: The first thing I saw about the product is that it takes a while to spill so the product is not runny but not hard either. It is smooth. I won't lie, I was afraid that he was white and immediately thought that he would leave growths. Until I put the substance in my hand and rubbed it with my fingers, it was completely TRANSPARENT. It's like re-twisting with oil but in a gel form that sticks. It was a relief to see. It contains both oil and aloe vera gel to help firm and moisturize our curls, as regular use of oil can make it difficult to get between the rods. twist your hair once a month. I have psoriasis on my scalp and I'm a mixed baby so my curls form differently with new growth so I try not to overload my hair to avoid breaking it. This product is great to use when you don't have re-rotation. In between twists I apply product where I want it flat or in a ponytail, brush it out with a soft brush and put on a scarf and it lies flat as if my curls are under pressure! It not only makes it flat but also very soft. Thank goodness no more crunchy or stiff curls! Especially in winter, when my hair gets dry and brittle, this product is officially my choice. My hair is my pride and joy, not because of the length, but because of the effort and time I put into it to keep it strong and healthy. Cons: If I use a perm product once a month, it doesn't stay as strong on the front of my crown as it does on the back. But when twisted, it's a soft twist that holds, doesn't feel stiff or weigh hair down. I think to fix this all I have to do is get the front of my hair styled if I can manage it or style it with a breathable scarf for a few days until the curl sets. Things you didn't know about this product: If you think this product is for locals only, you are wrong. My sisters and I are all biracial but our hair is loose in its natural 4A-4B hair type. I saw my sisters use this moisturizing curling gel and I saw that it was just a bomb. I even let my friend with 3B hair texture use it on her Dominican curls and watch them stay styled and frizz free after washing and conditioning. This is a multi-talented product.
