Review on Toshiba SD2800 Player Component Output by Sam Anez

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Top quality without a high price.

The Toshiba SD2800 DVD player is what I currently use and by far the best I have ever used. Although it is far from the top in terms of features, it perfectly meets my needs. And the price was more than reasonable considering what you get with this particular DVD player. When I received the player it was very easy to install (considering I'm not an electronics expert) and use it the first time. Audio and video connectors are color-coded so there is minimal chance of error. What I liked was the digital output jack. So if I have a big, fancy home theater, a DVD player will suffice. All functions are very easy to understand and the on-screen menus are easy to navigate. You get all the features you'd expect: zoom, sub-tile selector, camera angle selector, and a host of other features. Whether or not they can be used depends entirely on the DVD you buy, but rest assured that all the DVD features you need are there. What really matters is playback quality and reliability. I read other reviews where people had a few issues. I didn't experience any of this, on the contrary it was more reliable than I expected. I use it extensively and it has never skipped, stalled or broken. The picture quality is excellent, the sound quality is excellent (I recommend hooking it up to a stereo) and the color flow feature, unique to Toshiba DVD players, makes a world of difference. few attempts. A backlit remote control would be a good idea. Many times I'm trying to skip to the next chapter of a movie but accidentally hit the power button and turn off the player. A bit of a disappointment, but I experience it too often. Toshiba DVD players have a reputation for being some of the best out there and I bought two of these for my home (the other is a newer model). I have not experienced any problems, I recommend it to everyone.
