Masks provide excellent protection. You feel the air moving through the filters and not just around them (as is the case with cheap disposable masks). Perfect for a quick run to the grocery store, these masks are easy to slip on and off, fold neatly in half and slip into your back pocket or purse. Problems with them arise when worn for more than 30 minutes: 1. They are too tight around the ears. I found I was constantly readjusting the straps so they were in that comfortable spot where they didn't pull my ears forward but didn't dig too deep into my skin either. 2. Since there is no special exhaust valve on these masks, the exhaust air is filtered a second time. This is great as it increases the protection of those around you and also keeps the moisture of your breath inside. This is not a problem if the mask is worn for a short time, but can become a problem if it is worn for a long time. In summary, these masks are perfect for quick errands, but look elsewhere if you need something to wear all day.
