This item works relatively well on thin shirts but if you are wearing a heavy shirt or winter clothing the spacing is thick enough to allow a slap on the collar to remove the magnets, and then you have to go fishing with your shirt and hope it doesn't go south of your waist or it will fall on your pant leg and be lost forever. I almost lost one after my seat belt cut my shirt collar in my car. Plus, it works better than any other collar available.
