I'm not an audiophile.
Sounds great to me, but I'm not a music lover. I have tinnitus, which means constant competition noises. I only had 2 active subwoofers (Klipsch and Onkyo) and one passive (Bose). To my ears this Klipsch is as good or better than the 2 active subs, while the passive sub was a total waste of time (I would never buy a passive again). As for the thickness and transparency values, I don't see the point. This SW is the size I would expect for what it is. You can see its dimensions in the data sheet and know the size of the speaker. So don't buy it if you think it's too big.
