One of the things that wasn't clear from product descriptions or connection guides here or on Sparkfun was whether the USB-C connector was just for the Power supply is intended or actually has been connected to the USB interface of the u-blox chip. Well I'm happy to report that you can just plug it into your computer with the USB port and it also gets USB power and data. Windows 10 recognized it immediately and configured it as a new COM port without a special driver. It works great out of the box and is configured by default to track all four GNSS constellations plus SBAS simultaneously. Sitting in here at my desk and using this version with a tiny antenna on the board, I currently get a solution with 25 satellites, 8 GPS, 4 GLONASS, 5 Galileo, 6 BeiDou and two SBAS satellites providing differential corrections . Also tested it with a 3.3V USB to TTL serial adapter which also worked fine (I soldered the up pins of the connector to both connection points on the board). cheap and easy to work with. I just need to explain it a bit now. You can download u-blox free u-center software to get all the exotic features and settings of the module and provide a cool visualization of the satellites in the sky. etc. Highly recommended!
