I bought this item to replace my old part ; But when I put it on the power steering pump, the hoses got in the way. I removed the P/S pump to try and get it to work, but the useless end of the hose with the clamp is too close to the P/S lines and is actually rubbing against each other. I didn't want to overheat the P/S lines with the heat of the waterlines. So I reused my old pipe, cleaned all the rusted spots, sanded, sanded all the spots, rinsed very well, allowed to air dry and coated with black high temp paint. Be sure to use a good quality o-ring for sealing and a silicone gasket. Trust me I heard 3 o-rings and 3 types of sealant very badly, for some reason the o-ring ruptured and leaked. very bad design. Mopar should have used a screw nipple to save us heartache.
