Fits perfectly (1994 Dodge RAM with 318).

The coating on the existing pipe was peeling off causing the o-ring to not fit properly so this was an inexpensive way to fix the problem.

Pros
  • One Year Trial
Cons
  • Lot

However the tube is perfect

Make sure you have a larger ring as the ring provided is too small and will leak. Even with some sealant you will see that it is too small. A larger ring will fix this.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Volume

Good Substitute

Good Substitute. The o-ring broke pretty easily and had to get another one. I found an o-ring that fits perfectly. Use some rtv to lubricate and seal well. Otherwise it may leak.

Fits my 1999 Dodge Durango SLT 5.9L 4x4

I purchased this part to replace an old rusty part as preventative maintenance on a water pump change and it fits just as well as it came from the factory. I had no problems with it at all. I would highly recommend this.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Requires outlet

Be careful with the o-ring

I have a new water pump so I replaced this tube as well as the old one was rusty. After installation, this pipe started leaking. When I drained and removed the cooling system, the ring was split. I replaced the o-ring with a better one from an auto parts store and so far it's holding up. Maybe it was just a bad one that got QC

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Expensive

Ok short term fix, not OEM quality

I replaced this bypass tube less than two years ago when I installed a new water pump on my Dodge B3500 van and it was almost two before that been in use for years. started leaking through the o-ring. The pipe has no rust, just a poor quality o-ring. This pipe is a very weak link in the design of the cooling system. Luckily it's easy to get and inexpensive to replace, but I think I'll try the OEM this time to see if I can get more than two years of life out of it.

Pros
  • Dope πŸ”₯
Cons
  • The packaging is ugly

Mine is rusty and the o-ring is worn out. It's not leaking yet but since we made the intake manifold and removed it and noticed rust etc we replaced it. I think this Dorman role is good. Dorman has been characterized by high quality for many years. However, I recently had a quality issue with the Dorman EGR reading. (It never worked) I'm sure I'll get 5 more horsepower by replacing it. (I'm just having fun)

Pros
  • Best
Cons
  • Was damaged

I bought this item to replace my old part ; But when I put it on the power steering pump, the hoses got in the way. I removed the P/S pump to try and get it to work, but the useless end of the hose with the clamp is too close to the P/S lines and is actually rubbing against each other. I didn't want to overheat the P/S lines with the heat of the waterlines. So I reused my old pipe, cleaned all the rusted spots, sanded, sanded all the spots, rinsed very well, allowed to air dry and coated with…

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Unusable features
