I usually use DHC cleaning oil but decided to try it because of the price and because others found it comparable to DHC oil. Overall I still find the DHC cleansing oil better: my skin feels softer and more hydrated, it emulsifies better and feels cleaner when I wash it off. However, in terms of makeup removal, I think both are equally effective. I wear waterproof mascara almost every day and they both remove it well. Comparing the price, I don't think the difference in quality is worth spending almost 3x for the DHC version, so in the end I'd rather buy it than the DHC oil purifier. That being said, I've seen DHC purifiers drop to $14 here at Revain and if you ever snag one at this retail price I'd suggest getting DHC instead.
