I purchased two identical filter wrenches to remove the GE GXWH30C and GXWH35F filter housings. I received them today and they fit both cases above. My old GE filter wrench snapped after a few uses, even with no water pressure on the body when removing. Looking at this new one it appears to be made from the same type of plastic and doesn't feel any more durable than the old one. We'll see how long the new ones last. Since I bought two, I plan to use them together to give extra strength when removing the filter housing. The new one is slightly larger than the original that came with the kit. The dimensions of the new wrench (measured with the caliper) are as follows: inner widest diameter of key ring is 6.05 inches, inner diameter between inner opposing lugs is 5.68 inches, outer ring diameter is 6.90 inches. Old filter wrench dimensions: inner widest diameter. Key ring diameter - 5.90 inches, inner diameter between inner opposing lugs - 5.70 inches, outer ring size - 6.63 inches. The actual thickness of the new and old keys is the same. Both the old and new keys have six internal lugs for attachment to the filter housing, which are also located on the inner ring. Like the old wrench, the new wrench doesn't have a model number or manufacturer, just a recycled plastic emblem (a triangle with a "5" inside, so both must be the same type of plastic). This is just my opinion, but I don't see any improvement between the old and new key that would add strength to the new key to resist breakage. So I'm glad I bought two wrenches to use together to remove cases. For now I'm just glad they fit in the above filter housings! UPDATE: Since I bought two of these General Electric WX5X3002 filter wrenches, I taped them together and used them as one for extra strength! My filters were difficult to take apart yesterday but with these two keys in combination I opened the filter and the keys worked perfectly. I'm afraid that using just one key could break like the one I replaced. One thing I do differently now is using sanitary silicone on rubber gaskets. This should make opening the filters easier!
