First the part that works great: the base allows you to extend it by twisting it until it's just the right size to fit in your cup holder. With my F-150 pickup I had to widen it completely, then the base fitted perfectly. The problem was that when I got my 32 oz. The top of the Nalgene bottle was so tight that when I lifted the bottle, the entire holder came out with it. I don't have a cap on my bottle; the holder was too tight for him. But there is a simple solution! I used very sharp scissors and cut the small rubber tabs flush with the top of the holder leaving only about ⅛ inch on one of them. Now my bottle slides in and out easily and the holder stays in place.
