I carry a Garmin GPS navigator between two cars and neither car has a suitable place to mount the device except on the windshield. The suction cup mount that came with the device was fine, but it was difficult to switch between cars. I had considered buying another suction cup mount and leaving the mounts "fixed" in each car, but after a few days the suction cup stopped sticking and fell off. This mount has a relatively low profile, fits perfectly with the Garmin GPS ball socket, and has adjustable tension to adjust the angle of the mount. The mount comes with 3M outdoor mounting tape which I have used successfully on other installations so I am sure it will work well. The mount is small enough not to be a distraction when I ride without the GPS module installed.
