I use this device to bind music that I print. The ProClick system is very good. This allows you to take full advantage of the spiral system, as well as easily inserting, changing and deleting pages and reusing the spine. The pages turn and lay flat perfectly, it's easy to use. They won't get stuck when you turn the page or fall out if you don't want them to. It's actually slightly better than the spiral system because the latter inevitably makes one side of the book higher than the other when it's open. My experiences with the device itself are a bit more mixed. It's actually heavier than it looks, but that doesn't necessarily mean strength. In fact, despite its weight, it feels quite fragile. Here are my general complaints: 1. It's grossly overpriced for what it is. At this price point these are more durable and better machines that use a different system. I think the swingline needs a reasonable competitor.2. When they say he can do 6 pages, they really mean that's the maximum he can do. There aren't that many pages to punch at once. I wouldn't even bother doing 6. Stick to 4 if you want it to work well3. Small scraps of paper can easily get caught on the edges of the dies, which will snag on the paper when you try to insert them. The result is that instead of making holes that you can use, it cuts out a series of half circles on the edge of the paper. I had to reprint many things because this cutter garbled them.4. This machine can cut letter size paper and that's it. Forget obligatory notes that are printed slightly larger. Of course, spikes only come in that size anyway, so just know that before you jump in. Some reviews here imply that it comes with a small plastic tool that opens and closes the spikes. It's not like this. You can do it manually, but it's less convenient. At such a stratospheric price point, they might contain a 50-cent piece of plastic, making them more convenient to use. Apart from these complaints, the device is fine. I'm not entirely unhappy that I bought it as there really isn't a good alternative and I'm a fan of the system enough to have one, but just be aware of the downsides. Be extra careful when using this for something you can't retype. When your paper often appears to be fully loaded when it is not.
