I have had several battery powered grinders over the years but have given up. There were design problems, engine problems and problems with the sharpening mechanism. They all contained a small amount of product and were difficult to fill. I cook a lot and love the taste of freshly ground pepper and the ability to choose the degree of grind of the salt used depending on the application. Most of the time, I like being able to add these ground spices with one hand for convenience. I stumbled across this set the other day and because of the price and the design I ordered the set. One of the grinders was louder and a little faster than the other so I emailed the seller and a replacement arrived 3 days later and it sounds and works the same as the other quiet one. The motor is powerful and does not run during use. The reusable container holds nearly 2/3 cups of pepper and easily unscrews from the filler. Requires 6 AAA batteries, which I find typical, and the efficient design should extend battery life. The grinder can be easily adjusted and removed for cleaning if necessary. The only unknown is usage over time, but this looks promising.
