Review on ESUPPORT Car Marine Red LED Toggle Switch Dash 4pin Pack of 5 - Illuminate Your Vehicle's Controls with Style by Jason Staggs

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Read this overview for detailed switch installation/pinout information. Top price, optics and functionality. First class comfort

Good price. Functional. The switches arrived in a clear plastic bag with no instructions or pinout information. These are 20A 12 volt stings commonly used in cars, boats and outdoor recreational vehicles. They use standard size crimp spade connectors. These can be bare connectors as spade connectors have molded plastic shielding walls that separate/separate between each blade. When viewed from the rear, there are four (4) standard size flat blades (plugs). Connectors on the back of the switch provide on-off functionality with or without a blue LED on the front of the switch. The LED can be used as a power or device on indicator, or it can be omitted (not used as a simple on/off switch). Looking up at the switch with two (2) empty positions (as seen in some Revain supplier product photos) the LEFT side pins are for the power input/output and the RIGHT side pins are ground for the blue LED -Indicator light. In the following instructions, the UPPER LEFT pin is used as a line or power input, and the LOWER LEFT pin is used as a line or power output for an accessory/device controlled by the switch. 1) If you only want to use the switch as a switch with no indicator LED, only use the two left connectors. The RIGHT pin connector and the LED will only light up when the switch is closed (on) and the accessory is powered on/on. DO NOT use the right BOTTOM connector for this. Never connect both RIGHT terminals to ground, just one or neither. ), ground the LOWER RIGHT connector and the LED will illuminate when power is applied to it, typically when the vehicle's power system is on/power is available. When you close (turn on) the switch, the LED will illuminate regardless of the position of the switch as long as vehicle power is on/available. DO NOT use the right TOP connector for this. Never connect both RIGHT terminals to ground, just one or neither.
