The best tool at the lowest price?

This tool worked great removing 2009 Dyna neck bearings. I used to build a few bikes the old fashioned way, knocking them out with various punches, curved screwdrivers, etc. That's a few hours and a lot of work on each bike. With this tool I removed races in less than 5 minutes. It's worth it even for a bike.

Pros
  • Impressive

  • Can't remember but there was something

If you have 05+YZ, get this!

Bought a very very used 05 YZ125. Every bearing was rusted and jammed. Now it was time for the steering, racing off this bike was a WTF moment. The top came out but the bottom, oh my god. It took a few hours to figure it out. Received in the mail in 3 days, preferably in a box. Went straight to the garage when he came. In 5 minutes he was on the floor! God if only I had bought this many years ago.

Pros
  • Free for educational purposes
Cons
  • Minor issues

Great tool but didn't work on 07 Street Glide

Great, durable design, easy to use. WILL NOT FIT between race and neck on a 2007 Harley Davidson Street Glide so it could not be used for the purpose it was advertised on that bike. The lip on the outside underside of the tool was too thick to fit between the lower race and the frame to remove the pivot/strut bearing. I had to purchase another tool appropriate for this particular design and space to successfully complete the job.

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • Nothing here

Wrong size range. It might work if it fits.

The only problem I found with this tool was that I couldn't use it. I like the design, it seems very durable. The problem is that my race has a 1-1/8" bore. The description does not accurately state that this tool works in a range of 1-1/8" to 2-5/8" and checked with calipers. The smallest diameter it can fit in is about 1.38". It's about 1-3/8".

Pros
  • The delivery was very fast
Cons
  • Some little things

OTC Race Remover look at this c clip

This tool is great for use in the GT250R, it hooks up nicely just under the race. However, I think I have a problem. One half of the tool is locked so you can turn the screw and move the other half closer or farther, but the C-clip used is too close and only allows me to turn half a turn. This is quite annoying and requires me to turn the other half until I can get it within that half turn to match the race. But it still works, so that's good.

Works as expected

This product is very well made and makes removing the plain bearings a lot easier. The puller tab that engages the edge of the bearing ring is probably 1/16 inch thick. In my application, there is a very narrow slot for this comb to slide through; so narrow and at such an angle that a hole punch or something similar wouldn't work. I used a small grinder to narrow the comb down to about 1/32" thick. Even after removing so much metal, the tool remained very strong and moved the races with just a…

Sweat remover

I bought a 2001 Triumph Bonneville to remove the steering rack from a friend. The steering column design leaves little room for using a striking tool or similar tool to knock it out. The tool arrived yesterday and the races were over in no time. The biggest challenge was finding a suitable driver bushing as the frame neck is not a straight shot. So, with a head big enough to fit on the instrument and down the neck, connected to a 1/2 inch extension, and with the help of my non-rebounding…

It makes life easier when you have the right tool for the job

I've been screwing on cars and motorcycles more than half my life and it usually takes a pick or a long sacrificial screwdriver to fix it the plain bearing rings to be removed. Removing a very thin lower journal collar can sometimes be a hell of a job, and if you're like me and have slipped or hit your upper arm due to drifting, then you've probably been screaming with expletives. I received my package from Revain and opened it up, put the unit in place, took a 1/2" box end wrench, tightened…

It's amazing

When I was young I made a thousand outriggers the old fashioned way with a hammer and punch, but of the two bikes in my garage only one race came out this way. A good review led me to this tool, so I'll return the favor. A 1997 Kawasaki Concours and a 1990 Honda PC800.PC800 bearing failed because it was an old ball bearing with a decent shoulder only in the 'reverse' part of the lower stem so it was difficult to hit. Concours needed a little more fiddling. . I've seen many reviewers truncate a…
