Review on Stretchable Grafting Tape Set For Optimal Fruit Tree Growth - 3-Piece Floristry Film In 3 Colors With Varying Elasticity, Ideal For Plant Repair And Budding by Vinny Howard

Revainrating 3 out of 5

More Similar to Clingfilm than to Parafilm

What one wants from a grafting film is i.) elasticity and ii.) the ability to retain the stretched shape for a few weeks as the graft takes hold. While these three rolls are indeed elastic, the applied tape doesn't hold shape very well (much like clingfilm) and tends to unravel without external ties. With Parafilm, there is less tendency to stick to itself. This sounds like a downside, but Parafilm also holds shape so there isn't a strict requirement for a good wrap around to have to stick to itself on the next turn. There's also no fiddling with the tape sticking to itself as you take it off the roll like there is with this item.

Maybe I was expecting a different film. I used it for grafting my plants. It was not sticky at all and hard to use it. Even I did, it was not stable.
