It's been 3 weeks since I installed it on my d17a1 (non vtec) and so far so good. My previous gasket leaked between the coolant passage and one of the pistons so it burned like crazy in the water. It is imperative that you take the head and block to the machine shop to check for warpage, however this is a laminated steel and unlike a composite gasket will leak again if the surface is not smooth. It's worth it because they last longer than bonded gaskets. Also tighten the cap screws to the specified torque.
