I have bundled shorter Cat 5e cables and can benefit from my 1 Gbps internet connection. After upgrading my service from 40Mbps, I better understand the importance of good cables and connections. Initially I bought cheap long Cat 5 cables that couldn't go over 100Mbps with my 1Gbps service. Luckily I had some Cat 5e cables and connected them to these extensions to get the transfer speed I wanted.
