I have a few shortcuts. 5 cables, none of which were long enough for my application. This connector allowed me to connect 2 cables and now it works great. Saved me from buying another longer cat. 5 cables.

Wasn't aware of this product but for the price of 1 cable I was able to make 6 of my own cables of sufficient length. Used all 6 and all worked with no problems. Of course you have to be careful where it ends up as it won't work in a cable protector.
