Poor design and/or manufacture means I won't use them

Not sure if this is a design flaw or a manufacturing flaw, but when partially screwed on the tire will leak air. Once they are fully twisted, the flow stops. The problem is that if they become loose while driving, air can leak out, causing the tire to lose air and potentially fail. I don't want to risk anything.
