I bought this ladder bookshelf due to the impressive height, great price, and color options. Dollar for dollar, I’m not sure you can find another shelf this good for this price. HOWEVER, assembly made me want to rip my hair out! I run a staging company so I have spent hours and hours assembling furniture from all over the world but let me tell you that this was the most painful assembly process I’ve ever gone through. The worst part is that they put letters on the shelves (which seemingly down have a correct position) but there’s a TINY hole that has to be facing the correct way. It does not point this out in the instructions until you have spent 3 hours assembling the entire thing and it says on the last step to screw in these things to the one hole on each shelf. At that point I couldn’t get the bookshelf apart to swap it around so I said screw it and decided to roll without the brackets. Thankfully, it seems sturdy enough. It’s pretty well-built and I think will stand the rest of time. Great stain, great height, and looks good in my home. It did come with one of the shelves caked in dirt which I found strange but that easily wiped off. If you are back ordering this, expect it to take 2-3 months, I had it ship out multiple times and be canceled. Overall, the shelf is great for the money but assembly is an absolute pain, even if the instructions were clear.
