A lot of assembly is harder than it looks! Unnecessarily hard. The allen wrench screws are extremely difficult to screw and tighten. If you hand problems with your hand/wrist, avoid this purchase. Some steps in the instructions are backwards in my opinion. They also don't label the pouches of fittings to match their labeling in the manual so its guess work. I have assembled a lot of furniture from various places, I typically enjoy this process. However, for this shelf they chose to have you screw in a large screw in a too small hole using an alum wrench. I would have rated 4 stars if these screws could have been put in using a drill or screwdriver. My hand was in pain after doing this for for 10 or so screws.Secondly, the white shelf is not a true white. You can see wood grain underneath. The coloring if the espresso is off. The actual wood portions have a red tone and the veneered particle board shelf's are a different color all together. Speaking of the shelves, not sure why only side has veneer and the other is the tan raw particle board (not sure if a mistake)? But yeah assembly was rough at start, but once figured out was able to do myself in about 45 minutes. It serves it's purpose, doesn't look horrible, decent price tag and sturdy and stable.

Overall, I do like it and it fits great in the space within my bathroom. Instructions were not that clear and took me a minute to understand the steps. I was able to do it by myself however might be helpful to have someone there with you just to support the different pieces while screwing them together. I bought this ladder bookshelf due to the impressive height, great price, and color options. Dollar for dollar, I’m not sure you can find another shelf this good for this price. The instructions were clear and easy to understand. However, when it came to actually assemble, it was tough. We had to use a lot of force to get things to fit. If you made a mistake, you had to nearly deassemble the entire thing. We noticed some of wood pieces were scuffed. It wasn’t that big of a deal. That being said, the shelf turned out pretty great. It’s a great add to our hallway. We love it.

My husband tried putting it together and after putting it halfway together realized some of the holes were on the wrong side so he couldn’t finish assembling it anymore. I called customer service and they offered to give me a credit so I asked for half off since I only got half of the product out together! Bought this to fill a wall space in my great room but after putting it together I didn’t feel that the quality of it fit with my other furniture. Moved it to a basement bedroom and it looks and works fine. Made a promise to myself to stick to purchasing solid wood furniture in the future.

I loved how it looked and the value of the shelf for the price. However, it came with missing screws. Specifically screw 'Y'. It was supposed to have 20 pieces and they only had 4 in my box 😫. Seller if you see this please send screws 🙏🏽. Other than that it's a nice item.

Fairly complicated to put together with not-so-great instructions. I would not trust it for any heavy items but okay for my use (towels in the bathroom). The biggest issue is that it had been opened and return and parts were mixed in the bags and had to be sorted, also missing the tool to put it together. I started to return it then but opted to make it work.

The product is good. overall but the insurrections are horrible. Screws are all in one bag and it can be hard to determine which screw is which. No labels and the items that are labeled are wrong. No nicks are scratches. Be prepared to look up videos to assemble.

Not sure if It was easy to assemble as my husband did It, but it’s great quality. Gave It to my mom as a gift and she loved It she had been complaining about not having anymore room for plants lol. Taller than I thought It would be and plenty of space for plants that are medium sized.

Although we finally got it together, holes don’t line up or are non existent.The finish comes off easily.The instructions are a series of microscopic drawings.Only kept it because we were too far along to take it all apart.Would not purchase again.
