I was mortified when I opened the box to find so many hardware pieces, every shelf and support was a separate part, and the diagramatic instructions were just maddening. No matter, I was going to take the week to put it together when the very first hole turned out to be mis-sized and the required screw would not fit. I took that as divine intervention and re-boxed ALL the parts and pieces and marched my happy self to the UPS office for a painless return.the only thing painless about this purchase. Two stars because the purchase price was perfect.Follow up: The next week I went to a chain home decor store and found the EXACT shelf I wanted, already assembled, and with more features than this shelving unit. Again, divine intervention!
