I washed and dried the ice cube trays according to the instructions, but the smell is still the same. I then washed them in warm soapy water thinking that would help, but they still smell the same as when I opened the package. I really don't think that's why I'm going to use them at all. I also found them quite thin compared to some others I bought years ago. I am very dissatisfied with this purchase. Update: After a few days of rinsing, washing and waiting there was still a strong smell, but now after about a week the smell is completely gone! Thank goodness I didn't throw them away!
