It's my own fault for not reading the description carefully, but in case anyone else hasn't, these shoes are not the kind that will blink when a child walks/runs. You literally have a USB charging port on the tongue of the shoe so you can charge your flashlights. What you need to do frequently... Because these lights need to be fully on or off, they will turn off after a few hours of wear. The toddler falls into despair as she shows off her stunning new shoes in the middle of her first day. It might be really cool for a special event or whatever, but for everyday use we can't send it to daycare, it's too much of a distraction. I will say that the shoes are generally great quality, even the charging port area... So if you're looking for some really cool light up shoes for a night out, maybe to keep an eye on your kid or somewhere like Disneyland that would be great.
