I was looking for something to replace my tape recorder and all the cassettes I carry with me for recording singing lessons. I've been researching what's available for my iPod nano as I live with this device and it would be very handy to always have recordings on it. I could hear it in my car, at home, whatever. What intrigued me about Micormemo compared to Belkin and other products is the flexible microphone capability and the fact that it can accept external audio inputs. I am amazed at the recording possibilities. Micro memo out of the box. I recorded in a 12' x 12' voice studio where I moved while singing. It captured everything clearly and the tonal quality of the recording was amazing. It far outperformed my old tape recorder. The downside of Micromemo is that the speaker is useless. Playback is inaudible and distorted. But honestly I don't care. As a recording device, it far exceeds my needs. When I want to listen to a recording, I plug in decent headphones or speakers.
