These are powerful 5 micron sediment filters. They are comparable in price to other analogues. A 6-pack offers better value for money. I usually change mine every 6 months which is a 3 year supply. They do a good job of filtering out sediment, rust and other particles from my local plumbing. They fit perfectly in the standard 10" housing of my reverse osmosis filter. I use a 5 micron filter and then a 0.1 micron sediment filter. The combination keeps the carbon block filters in top condition for a long time and increases the change intervals for me.
