I wasn't sure at first if square dots could work, but it wasn't as bad as I thought. I quickly realized that you need to allocate a little more space from the start, otherwise you'll spend a lot of time shifting row by row down a little to make room for the next row. They sit much tighter than round dots. Also, this makes for a much heavier final image - I'm definitely not going to hang them up with some thumbtacks! The final look is nice but I think they have a bit less sheen than round dots but not too noticeable. I have yet to complete one with the squares I ordered at the same time but I haven't started on that yet (still working on a few rounds) but I won't hesitate to order another print I wanted just because it was had square dots.
