The vacuum was a little weak until I took it apart and smeared some Penn fishing reel grease around the o-ring inside, after that it worked very easily Taking it apart for future repairs, I used this instead of using my food grade vacuum sealer, inflate to 15 Hg. Latch with tin can top and my jars are sealed tight thanks to all the people on the internet using this to prolong the life of my vacuum sealer. would buy again
