We have had many dogs over the decades and there are good collars and bad collars. From the material of the band itself to the clip that holds it together, some collars have bad bands but good clips, or vice versa. But seldom can you find a collar that is good on both counts and we have that with the Kruz collar. The material isn't cheap if you notice wear and tear over time and it doesn't irritate our dog's skin. The clip is hard plastic, nothing cheap, and it just holds up really well, but releases in a jiffy when needed. The strap goes through the clip well without the strain I've seen with some other collars. As you can see we have a little bitch and she is a very active bitch who loves to play here in the mountains of Northern Arizona. Once she rolled down a small hill (unharmed) but while the collar (which washed off easily) got dirty, he struggled. We think we got a good deal for the price considering the collars our little pup has been through in the past. So if he can survive our fluffy's adventures, then this collar is worth getting.
