Perfect. I let my daughter choose. I ordered 1/2 size larger as recommended. I could probably go full size. But my daughter has a narrow foot and I was afraid that she would "fall out". So we pay extra and increase the size as needed. If your child has more than average feet, I would say that you could increase their height by at least 1/2 full height when they are at the peak of this growth spurt. If your child has a wide foot, I do not recommend these shoes. Again, this is MY OPINION. I found it very fair and honest.
