One of the two threaded studs just broke when I put it in the hole. Upon closer inspection, the bolt appears to be connected to some sort of sheet metal on the inside of the case, which serves as the base. The connection must have been very weak. The original 30 year old Nutone motor is built like a tank compared to this marvel and the bolt attachment to the body is very solid. I had neither the time nor the inclination to turn back. and the exchange process so I found a way to fix it. But I would not recommend the part.
