After reading the reviews, when I placed the order I realized I would need to replace the drywall mount hardware. Replaced used drywall screws with larger washers and used drywall mollies. I painted the screws black to match the shelf. It is not designed to carry components other than light ones and this is specifically stated. Don't try to install it and don't expect it to last long on even the smallest TV. I used it to mount the antenna. Very easy. This is a very attractive detail, and the manufacturer needs to make this drywall usable. Only the small parts supplied are used for fastening to wood and the screws are still too small. I knew the gear needed replacing and I had everything I needed in my garage. Large drywall screws, large washers and drywall mollies. The shelf is absolutely safe. In general I am satisfied with the purchase and the price. Just note that if you want to properly install it on drywall, you'll need to change the hardware.
