This pump worked to increase flow from 35psi to 105psi in a reverse osmosis system. The pump itself is mounted on shock absorbers and is not unusually noisy, but at lower inlet pressures (below about 45psi) the outlet (and inlet) pressure will pulsate when the pump is running and this will generate noise unless the E/ A lines are flexible enough. to weaken the effect. There must be more than one switch type as the switch that came with my unit requires a .050" hex (1.3mm hex for those with small metric sets). Viewed from above the screw, the cut-off pressure increases clockwise and decreases counter-clockwise (at least on the model that came with my pump). I recommend setting this up with a small hydraulic tank, otherwise you'll find it takes a long time to make adjustments (the differential seems constant). The device was set at 40 psi. I would rate this 5 stars if the pressure switch wasn't so finicky to set up. If your inlet pressure is over 40psi, you probably don't need to change the factory settings, but it is a sensitive setting. If you don't need to mess with it, don't do it. Stopped working after 3 months. Aquatec does not respond to warranty requests sent to their website.
