Description of Aquatec Filtration Standard Manifold 8852-2J03-B424

This pump kit includes Aquatec high flow booster pump 8852-2J03-B424 with heavy duty steel base plate with damper, PSW-340 pressure switch, 110V Transformer, 4 reducer fitting 3/8" to 1/4", detail instructions. This pump is designed to increase the water supply pressure to a RO water system. Increase input pressure from 30-40 psi to 60-80 psi depending on the capacity of your RO system. This pump is good for under 200 GPD (gallons per day) RO systems. This kit is good for 1/4" OD tubing or 3/8" OD tubing since we include 3/8" to 1/4" reducer fittings for pump and for pressure switch. Automatic ON/OFF operation. The pressure switch would sense the pressure in the output line, so when the output line is shut off or the storage tank is full or reaches 40-50 psi, the pump would shut off, and then when you start using water and tank pressure drops, then the pump turns back ON to replenish the tank. This kit DOES NOT come with the optional (ESO) Electric-Shut-Off solenoid valve, so it would rely on your existing mechanical auto-shut-off valve in your RO system to turn off the water supply when the tank is full. For most systems this kit will work fine. But if your existing shut off valve is interfering with the pump then you need to get a ESO solenoid valve with Aquatec plug, 24VAC.

Pressure high when installed per instruction

Inlet pressure above 100psi, I shut off the power as soon as I saw it reach 100psi per square inch , 80psi is the maximum pressure for many reverse osmosis systems, exceeding the maximum inlet pressure will damage the reverse osmosis membrane and void your warranty. If you install a pressure switch before the inlet, the pump will cycle on and off and the switch will burn out. The best solution I found was to use a 4 gallon storage tank that my Ro system ran between the pump and inlet (slows…

Pros
  • . This kit does NOT come with an optional (ESO) electric shut off solenoid valve to shut off the water supply when the tank is full. For most systems this kit will work just fine. But if your existing check valve is interfering with the pump you will need to purchase an ESO Plugged Solenoid Valve with Aquatec, 24VAC
Cons
  • Minor issues

Very happy with performance and functionality

I bought two different reverse osmosis boosters. a brand of reverse osmosis system that I have. and this Aquatec booster. Another well known brand didn't go above 45psi and the adjustment screw on the pump didn't affect functionality. This Aquatec was quieter and the adjustment is very easy. I easily achieved the 80psi I was looking for on 2 100gpd reverse osmosis membranes in parallel. Now that I have a working booster I'm getting a lot more flow. Maybe the fact that it was made in the USA…

Pros
  • This kit will fit 1/4" OD hoses or 3/8" OD hoses as we include 3/8" to 1/4" adapter fittings for the pump and pressure switch
Cons
  • Modern

Pressure valve stopped working, pump still works fine

Pressure switch stopped working, it turns off but won't turn on I have to tap it with a wrench to turn it on. The pump does a great job, the water pressure in my house fluctuates a lot, that's why I bought this pump, it's very noisy, especially if you live in an apartment and have no choice but to install it under the sink anyway I was able to find a cure, I took a box and some small plastic bags and stuffed them with pillow feathers as well as on the bottom and around the inside of the box…

This pump is a must for a reverse osmosis system.

I use a reverse osmosis system to supply water to several offices in a church. I fill 5 gallon bottles and distribute them to various water dispensers around campus. My biggest hurdle in the process was the time it took to fill each bottle, after which recovery kept me from filling another bottle for several hours. I just installed this pump and waited for the pump to stop working and filling a bottle and was able to fill a second bottle almost immediately after the first. I have a 13 gallon…

Pros
  • Sturdy construction
Cons
  • No automation

Great pump but short lived

This pump worked to increase flow from 35psi to 105psi in a reverse osmosis system. The pump itself is mounted on shock absorbers and is not unusually noisy, but at lower inlet pressures (below about 45psi) the outlet (and inlet) pressure will pulsate when the pump is running and this will generate noise unless the E/ A lines are flexible enough. to weaken the effect. There must be more than one switch type as the switch that came with my unit requires a .050" hex (1.3mm hex for those with…
